Definitely a must see is the Underground River in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. It is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. It is reportedly one of the longest navigable underground rivers in the world. It is a living cave with an extremely rare and diverse ecosystem.

The PPUR is open all year, but peak season reservations should be made 1 month in advance. I believe that is from March till June.

Photo by La Venta Org. The cave is not actually this bright when the public tours. It's pitch black actually and each paddle boat has one person in group who is given a large flash light and is directed by the guide where to point it.
